Մենք պետք է կարողանանք ցույց տալ աշխարհին, որ անգամ պատերազմից հետո ուժեղ ենք. պատերազմում պարտվելը մի բան է, կյանքում պարտվելը ուրիշ բան: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ ապրիլի 16-ին, Թբիլիսիում հայ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը:

«Կարող ես 5 պատերազմում պարտվել, բայց ամեն անգամ ոտքի կանգնել, գնալ առաջ ու հաղթել: Մենք հաղթել ենք 26 տարի առաջ, քիչ աշխատեցինք, լուրջ չվերաբերվեցինք այդ հարցերին, ենթադրեցինք, որ այդ հաղթանակը ընդմիշտ է եւ այլն: Բայց նույն ձեւով պետք է պարտությանը լուրջ վերաբերվենք, ոտքի կանգնենք եւ միասնական առաջ գնանք: Չես կարող հաղթել կյանքում, եթե բաժանված լինես»,-ասաց նա:

ՀՀ նախագահը հավելեց, որ ինքը Վարստանում իր հանդիպումների ժամանակ մանրամասն ներկայացրել է Հայաստանի տեսակետները տեղի ունեցած պատերազմի մասին, թե ինչպես եղավ եւ ինչու. «Իհարկե, չես կարող մոռանալ մեր գերիների ու պատանդների մասին: Ցավոք սրտի, իրենց կյանքը, իրենց գերությունը օգտագործում են որպես խաղաքարտ հակառակորդի կողմից: Սա անթույլատրելի է միջազգային որեւէ օրենքով: Ես միշտ պետք է բրձրաձայնեմ այս հրցը, քանի դեռ այդ հարցը չի լուծվել: Երբ դու դրա մասին խոսում ես այստեղ, դա լսում է Վրաստանի նախագահը, ժողովուրդը, այլեւ միջազգային հանրությունը:

Իհարկե, խոսեցինք տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության մասին: Շատ կարեւոր է քայլեր անել, որ տարածաշրջանում կյունություն տիրի, իսկ կայունություն առանց Արցախի հարցի արդարացի ու վերջնական լուծման համարյա անհնարին է լինելու»:

Անդրադառնալով Վրաստանի նախագահի առաջարկին՝ դառնալ հարթակ Հայաստանի եւ Ադրբեջանի միջեւ երկխոսության համար, Արմեն Սարգսյանն ասաց. «Առաջին անգամ չէ, որ վրացական կողմն առաջարկում է լինել այն պլատֆորմը, որտեղ կողմերը կարող են բանակցել: Ազնիվ առաջարկ է, թեեւ ովքեր եւ ինչի մասին պետք է բանակցեն, ինձ համար դեռ պարզ չէ: Որեւէ լուրջ, միջպետական բանակցության մասին խոսելուց առաջ, նախ հակառակ կողմը պետք է ցույց տա գոնե տարրական մարդկային վերաբերմունք: Նույնիսկ եթե դու թշնամի ու հակառակորդ է, չպետք է ճանապարհներ փակես ապագա երկխոսության համար:
