65-ամյա Սուլթան Իբրահիմ Իսկանդարը խոստացել է արդար կառավարել հինգամյա ժամկետում, որը նա ստացել է երկրում գործող յուրօրինակ ռոտացիոն միապետական համակարգի շրջանակում:

Կուալա Լումպուրի ազգային պալատում տեղի ունեցած թագադրումը պաշտոնականացրել է Սուլթան Իբրահիմի դերը որպես Մալայզիայի 17-րդ թագավոր:

Հազարավոր մարդիկ շարվել են փողոցում՝ տեսնելու նոր միապետին, մինչդեռ ուղիղ եթերով հեռարձակվող արարողությանը ներկա է եղել ավելի քան 700 հյուր:
