Հուլիսի 2-ին Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենի` Հայաստան այցին ընդառաջ մեկ տասնյակից ավելի նամակներով դիմել էի Եվրոմիության տարբեր կառույցների ղեկավարներին, այդ թվում հենց տիկին Լայենին, որպեսզի նիկոլ փաշինյանի հետ հանդիպմանը իրենց սիրած` մարդու իրավունքների, քաղաքական բազմակարծության և օրենքի գերակայության հարցերի, ինչպես նաև սեփական քաղաքական ու տնտեսական շահերի մասին քննարման ժամանակ հարցնի, թե ինչու՞ են Հայաստանում ընդդիմադիր քաղաքական գործիչները, ակտիվիստները և գործող ռեժիմին սուր քննադատողները բանտարկվում մեկը մյուսի հետևից, որոնց թվում նաև Ավետիք Չալաբյանը, արդյո՞ք դա երկակի ստանդարտներ չեն, չե՞ն հակասում եվրոպական քաղաքակրթության հանրահռչակած համամարդկային արժեքներին ու ժողովրդավարական սկզբունքներին, հարցնի փաշինյանին, թե ինչու՞ է հանիրավի սահմանափակում մարդու տարրական հիմնարար իրավունքները, անչափահաս երեխային տեսնելու հնարավորությունը և խոսքի ազատությունը։
Ստացել եմ այս ստանդարտ պատասխանը բնականաբար (էլի լավ ա` լայաղ են արել պատասխանել են)` Արևելյան Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի վարչության` Վրաստանի, Մոլդովայի, Հայաստանի, Ադրբեջանի, Բելառուսի համար պատասխանատու բաժնի ղեկավարի կողմից:

Շնորհակալություն Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ տիկին Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լայենին ուղղված` Ձեր 2026 թվականի հուլիսի 1-ի նամակի համար, որով բարձրացնում եք Հայաստանում քաղաքական զարգացումների վերաբերյալ մի շարք մտահոգություններ։
Եվրոպական միությունը ուշադիր հետևում է այդ զարգացումներին։ Քաղաքական բազմակարծությունը, իրավունքի գերակայությունը և հիմնարար իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը ԵՄ–Հայաստան գործընկերության առանցքային հենասյուներն են։ Մենք այս ոլորտներում տեղի ունեցող զարգացումները պարբերաբար քննարկում ենք Հայաստանի իշխանությունների հետ, այդ թվում՝ ԵՄ–Հայաստան Մարդու իրավունքների երկխոսության շրջանակում։ Մենք նաև կանոնավոր կապի մեջ ենք ոչ կառավարական շահագրգիռ կողմերի և քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների հետ՝ քննարկելով այդ հարցերը։
Եվրոպական միությունը շարունակում է անշեղորեն աջակցել Հայաստանին համապարփակ բարեփոխումների իր ճանապարհին, որի նպատակն է ավելի ամրապնդել ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտները, իրավունքի գերակայությունը, խթանել քաղաքական բազմակարծությունը և բարձրացնել հասարակության դիմակայունությունը՝ ԵՄ–Հայաստան գործընկերության ռազմավարական օրակարգին համապատասխան։
