«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

«ՀայաՔվե» հասարակական-քաղաքական միավորման համակարգող Ավետիք Չալաբյանը հերթական անգամ հայտնվել է գործող իշխանությունների թիրախում, ինչի մասին են վկայում երեկ վաղ առավոտյան նրա բնակարանում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունները։ Ժամը 07:10-ից 07:15-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանության և քննչական մարմինների մոտ յոթ-ութ աշխատակիցներ ներխուժել են Չալաբյանների բնակարան, երբ տան անդամներն ու երեխաները դեռ քնած են եղել։ Իրավապահները նախ իրականացրել են բնակարանի ամբողջական խուզարկություն, սակայն որևէ արգելված կամ կասկածելի իր չեն հայտնաբերել, ինչից հետո առգրավել են քաղաքական գործչի հեռախոսը։ Ընտանիքի անդամների փոխանցմամբ, իրավապահ մարմինների ներկայացուցիչները նախապես պատրաստված են եկել համապատասխան փաստաթղթերով, ինչը փաստում է, որ նրանց հստակ նպատակն է եղել հենց ձերբակալել Չալաբյանին։

Դրանից հետո ՔԿ-ն տեղեկացրեց, որ հարուցվել է հանրային քրեական հետապնդում Քրեական օրենսգրքի 43-210-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի 5-րդ և 6-րդ կետերով (իշխանական կամ ծառայողական լիազորությունները կամ դրանցով պայմանավորված ազդեցությունն օգտագործելով մի խումբ անձանց կողմից նախնական համաձայնությամբ ընտրական իրավունքի իրականացմանը խոչընդոտելու նախապատրաստություն) և դիմել է դատարան՝ կալանավորման միջնորդությամբ: «Նիկոլի ժամանակներում» դժվար չէր կանխատեսել, որ միջնորդությունը բավարարվելու է: Ավետիք Չալաբյանը երկու ամսով կալանավորվեց:

Այս գործողություններն ընտանիքի և աջակիցների կողմից որակվում են որպես ակնհայտ քաղաքական հետապնդում ընդդիմադիր դաշտի ակտիվ ներկայացուցիչների նկատմամբ, որոնք շարունակաբար ճնշումների են ենթարկվում։ Ինչպես փոխանցել է փաստաբան Վարազդատ Հարությունյանը, Ավետիք Չալաբյանն իրեն առաջադրված մեղադրանքը չի ընդունել` որակելով այն «ծայրից ծայր» սուտ:

Ուշագրավ է, որ Չալաբյանը կալանավորվում է այն ժամանակահատվածում, երբ Սահմանադրական դատարանը քննելու է ընտրությունների հետ կապված ընդդիմադիր ուժերի դիմումները։ Իշխանությունները մի տեսակ «սովորություն» են դարձրել Չալաբյանի նկատմամբ քրեական գործեր հարուցել. նա շարունակաբար կալանավորվում է, ենթարկվում ճնշումների, մշտապես գտնվում է օրվա իշխանության թիրախում, և սա առաջին դեպքը չէ, երբ Չալաբյանը շինծու մեղադրանքներով հայտնվում է կալանավայրերում իր ընդդիմադիր հայացքների և քաղաքական գործունեության համար։
