Ապրիլի 23-ին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության տարելիցի նախօրեին, արդեն ավանդույթ դարձած ջահերով երթը կրկին կմիավորի հազարավոր քաղաքացիների, ովքեր շարժվելու են դեպի Ծիծեռնակաբերդ՝ հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու զոհերի հիշատակին։ Սակայն վերջին տարիներին այս միջոցառումը աստիճանաբար ձեռք է բերել ոչ միայն հիշատակի, այլև հստակ քաղաքական բովանդակություն՝ վերածվելով հասարակական դժգոհության արտահայտման հարթակի։

Մասնակիցների զգալի հատվածը իրենց ներկայությամբ փորձում է արձանագրել ոչ միայն պատմական հիշողության պահպանման կարևորությունը, այլև իրենց վերաբերմունքը ներկա քաղաքական գործընթացների նկատմամբ։ Քաղաքական գնահատականներում հաճախ շեշտվում է, որ երթին աջակցողները, փաստացի, հանդես են գալիս գործող իշխանության վարած քաղաքականության դեմ՝ այն դիտարկելով որպես ազգային ինքնության, պատմական հիշողության և արժեքային համակարգի համար վտանգավոր ուղղություն։

Քննադատությունների առանցքում հատկապես հայտնվում են արտաքին քաղաքականության որոշ ուղղություններ և պատմական հարցերի նկատմամբ իշխանության մոտեցումները, որոնք որոշ շրջանակների կողմից ընկալվում են որպես զիջողական։ Այդ ֆոնին ջահերով երթը վերածվում է ոչ միայն սիմվոլիկ արարողության, այլև հանրային մոբիլիզացիայի ձևաչափի, որտեղ հիշողությունն ու քաղաքական դիրքորոշումը միահյուսվում են։

Վերլուծաբանների մի մասը նշում է, որ այս գործընթացը կարող է խորացնել հասարակության բևեռացումը՝ հիշատակի միջոցառումը դարձնելով քաղաքական պայքարի գործիք։ Միաժամանակ մյուսները դա դիտարկում են որպես բնական երևույթ՝ ժողովրդավարական հասարակության մեջ, որտեղ քաղաքացիները փորձում են իրենց դիրքորոշումը արտահայտել նաև խորհրդանշական հարթակներում։

Վերջին շրջանում հնչող մտահոգությունները վերաբերում են նաև միջոցառման կազմակերպչական և տեղեկատվական բաղադրիչներին։ Այս տարի հանրային հեռարձակման կրճատումը, ըստ որոշ գնահատականների, ընկալվում է որպես միջոցառման հանրային ազդեցության նվազեցման փորձ։ Այդ հանգամանքը լրացուցիչ լարում է ստեղծում այն շրջանակներում, որոնք ջահերով երթը դիտարկում են որպես ազգային հիշողության պահպանման առանցքային տարր։

Հայաստանում գրեթե չկա ընտանիք, որը չի կրել ցեղասպանության հետևանքները, և այդ իրողությունը ջահերով երթին տալիս է ոչ միայն հասարակական, այլև խորապես անձնական նշանակություն։ Հետևաբար, ցանկացած փոփոխություն կամ սահմանափակում այդ միջոցառման շուրջ անմիջապես արձագանք է գտնում հանրության լայն շերտերում։

Այս պայմաններում ջահերով երթը շարունակում է մնալ ոչ միայն հիշատակի արարողություն, այլև հասարակական տրամադրությունների ցուցիչ՝ արտացոլելով այն խորքային գործընթացները, որոնք ձևավորում են երկրի քաղաքական օրակարգը և ընտրական սպասումները։
