Նախագահ Թրամփի հետ մի շարք հարցերի շուրջ արդյունավետ հանդիպումից հետո նա կանաչ լույս տվեց Ռուսաստանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների օրինագծին, որի վրա ես ամիսներ շարունակ աշխատել եմ սենատոր Բլումենտալի և շատ ուրիշների հետ, գրել է :

Սա կլինի տեղին և ժամանակին, քանի որ Ուկրաինան զիջումների է գնում խաղաղության համար, իսկ Պուտինը միայն խոսում է՝ շարունակելով սպանել անմեղներին։

Այս օրինագիծը թույլ կտա Թրամփին պատժել այն երկրներին, որոնք գնում են էժան ռուսական նավթ՝ վառելիք մատակարարելով Պուտինի ռազմական մեքենային։

Այս օրինագիծн ԱՄՆ նախագահին հսկայական լծակներ կտա Չինաստանի, Հնդկաստանի և Բրազիլիայի նման երկրների դեմ՝ դրդելու նրանց դադարեցնել գնել էժան ռուսական նավթ, որն ապահովում է Պուտինի ֆինանսավորումը Ուկրաինայի արյունահեղության համար։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ավելի վաղ հանրապետական սենատոր Լինդսի Գրեմը և դեմոկրատական սենատոր Ռիչարդ Բլումենտալը ներկայացրել էին մի օրինագիծ, որը նախատեսում է առաջնային և երկրորդային պատժամիջոցներ Ռուսաստանի դեմ, եթե այն չհամաձայնվի Ուկրաինայի հետ երկարատև խաղաղության: Այն հավանել է 50 սենատոր՝ թե՛ դեմոկրատների, թե՛ հանրապետականների շրջանում: Մասնավորապես, խոսքը վերաբերում է ռուսական նավթ, գազ, ուրան և այլ ապրանքներ գնող երկրներից ներմուծման 500% մաքսատուրքերին։
