Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Քրիստինա Քվինը երեկ բացեիբաց հայտարարել է TRIPP նախագծում Թուրքիայի ներգրավման մասին։ Իր հարցազրույցում դեսպան Քվինը նշել է, թե «Թրամփի ուղին» իսկապես ազդեցիկ նախագիծ կդառնա, եթե օգտագործվի երկաթուղու այն հատվածը, որը Նախիջևանով անցնում է, վերադառնում է Հայաստանով, Շիրակով, Կարսով դեպի Թուրքիա և այնտեղից ուր էլ որ գնա, քանի որ Թուրքիան բավական զարգացած է, երկաթուղային ցանց ունի»։ Դեսպանը հայտնել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն այս հարցով ուղիղ աշխատում է Թուրքիայի հետ՝ հավելելով, որ Հայաստանը նույնպես աշխատում է Թուրքիայի հետ՝ փորձելով իրականացնել բոլոր անհրաժեշտ քայլերը այդ տեսլականն իրականացնելու համար։

«Ստեղծելով անվտանգ, ապահով ճանապարհ թե՛ հյուսիսում, թե՛ հարավում, որը կանցնի Նախիջևանով, ապա Հայաստանով՝ դեպի Գյումրի և Թուրքիայի Կարս նահանգ, կբացվի տարանցիկ ճանապարհ, որն արևելքը կկապի արևմուտքին և հակառակը, ինչից կօգտվեն գրեթե բոլոր երկրները, որտեղով կանցնի այդ ճանապարհը։ Եվ ես կասեի, որ Հայաստանը, թերևս, ավելի շատ կօգտվի, քան մյուսները, քանզի վերջին 30 տարուց ավելի Հայաստանի արևելյան և արևմտյան սահմանները փակ են եղել»,- ասել է Քրիստինա Քվինը։

Երկար ժամանակ Հայաստանի իշխանությունները փորձում են համոզել, թե Թուրքիան որևէ առանցքային կապ չունի «Թրամփի ուղու» հետ, իսկ ողջ վերահսկողությունն իրականացվելու է Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից, բայց և ամերիկյան կողմի այս անկեղծությունը վկայում է, որ Վաշինգտոնը այս նախագծի իրականացմանը առանց Թուրքիայի ուղիղ ներգրավման անհնար է համարում։ Իսկ տարածաշրջանից ռուսներին դուրս մղելու և դրա փոխարեն Թուրքիայի միջոցով Արևմուտքի վերահսկողություն սահմանելու ջանքերը, կարծես թե, այլևս որևէ մեկի մոտ կասկած չեն հարուցում։ Կասկած չի հարուցում նաև այն, որ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները համառորեն գնում են հերթական նոր դավաճանությանը՝ վնասելով Հայաստանի Հանրապետության շահերը։
