Եվրամիությունը պատրաստվում է ավելի խիստ միջոցներ ձեռնարկել երրորդ երկրների նկատմամբ՝ իր նոր վիզային ռազմավարության շրջանակում, որը նախատեսվում է ներկայացնել այս տարվա վերջին։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Euractiv պորտալը՝ հղում կատարելով Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագծին։

Փաստաթղթի համաձայն՝ վիզաների տրամադրումն ավելի սերտորեն կապված կլինի միգրացիայի հարցում համագործակցության մակարդակի հետ։ Եվրահանձնաժողովն իրավունք կունենա կասեցնել կամ չեղարկել վիզաները այն երկրների քաղաքացիների համար, որոնց հետ հարաբերությունները «զգալիորեն վատթարացել են», գրել է պորտալը։

Նախագիծը նաեւ նախատեսում է այսպես կոչված վստահելի ճանապարհորդների համար 10 տարվա բազմակի մուտքի Շենգենյան վիզաների ներդրում եւ վիզային արտոնությունների վերանայման նոր համակարգի ստեղծում, որը թույլ կտա Բրյուսելին անհրաժեշտության դեպքում ավելի արագ կասեցնել կամ չեղյալ համարել դրանք։

2022թ․ սեպտեմբերի 9-ին ԵՄ անդամ պետությունները հաստատել են Ռուսաստանի հետ վիզային դյուրացման համաձայնագրի լիակատար կասեցման որոշումը։ Մի շարք եվրոպական լրատվամիջոցներ նախկինում հայտնել էին, որ Եվրահանձնաժողովը, Ռուսաստանի դեմ նոր պատժամիջոցների փաթեթի շրջանակում, մտադիր է դժվարացնել ռուսների համար վիզաների ստացումը։

Ավելի վաղ Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության խոսնակ Մարիա Զախարովան ԵՄ գաղափարները վիզային սահմանափակող միջոցառումներ ներդնելու վերաբերյալ անվանել էր «երեսպաշտության, երկակի ստանդարտների եւ, ամենակարեւորը, օրենքի նկատմամբ անհարգալից վերաբերմունքի եւս մեկ օրինակ»։
