ԱՄՆ Սննդի և դեղամիջոցների վարչությունը հավանություն է տրվել ՄԻԱՎ-ի կանխարգելման համար աշխարհում առաջին ներարկվող դեղամիջոցին: Gilead Sciences-ի մշակած Yeztugo դեղմիջոցը պետք է ներարկել տարեկան երկու անգամ՝ վեց ամիսը մեկ: Դրա կիրառումը կարող է ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակումից պաշտպանել միլիոնավոր մարդկանց, գրում է independent.co.uk-ը։

Դեղամիջոցը վիրուսի դեմ պայքարում նոր հզոր այլընտրանք է, չնայած դեռևս հարցեր են մնում դրա հասանելիության վերաբերյալ՝ թե՛ ԱՄՆ-ում, թե՛ միջազգային մակարդակով։

Կլինիկական հետազոտությունները ցույց են տվել դրա տպավորիչ արդյունավետությունը՝ գրեթե վերացնելով նոր վարակները բարձր ռիսկի խմբում գտնվող անձանց մոտ և գերազանցելով ամենօրյա կանխարգելիչ դեղահաբերի ազդեցությունը:

«Այն իսկապես հնարավորություն ունի վերջ դնելու ՄԻԱՎ-ի փոխանցմանը», - նշել է Գրեգ Միլեթը, amfAR-ի՝ ՁԻԱՀ-ի հետազոտությունների հիմնադրամի հանրային քաղաքականության տնօրենը։

Դեղամիջոցն ապահովում է վարակման կանխարգելման 6-ամսյա ժամկետ, ինչը շուկայում առկա միջոցների շրջանում ամենաերկարաժամկետ պաշտպանությունն է: Մշակող ընկերությունը զգուշացրել է, որ մարդիկ պետք է ՄԻԱՎ-ի բացասական թեստ ունենան տարեկան երկու անգամ ներարկումը ստանալուց առաջ։ Դեղամիջոցը միայն կանխում է ՄԻԱՎ-ի փոխանցումը, այլ ոչ թե կանխում է սեռական ճանապարհով փոխանցվող այլ հիվանդությունները։

Աղբյուրը նկատում է, որ ՄԻԱՎ-ի համավարակը մինչև 2030 թվականը վերացնելու համաշխարհային ջանքերը կանգ են առել։ ԱՄՆ-ում դեռևս տարեկան ավելի քան 30,000 նոր վարակ է գրանցվում, իսկ ամբողջ աշխարհում՝ մոտ 1,3 միլիոն։
