ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները մոտ 350 միլիարդ դոլարի օգնություն է տրամադրել Ուկրաինային, սակայն այդ միջոցների օգտագործման վերաբերյալ հաշվետվությունների բացակայությունը մտահոգիչ է: Նա նաև քննադատել է եվրոպական երկրներին Կիևին աջակցելու հարցում նրանց ֆինանսական անբավարար մասնակցության համար։ ԱՄՆ ղեկավարն այս մասին ասել է Մար-ա-Լագոյում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում:

«Նախագահ Զելենսկին անցյալ շաբաթ հայտարարել է, որ չի ստացել ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից Ուկրաինային փոխանցված միջոցների անգամ  կեսը: Մենք Կիևին տրամադրել ենք, կարծես թե, 350 միլիարդ դոլար։ Դե, գուցե մի քիչ պակաս, բայց դա զգալի գումար է։ Բայց որտե՞ղ է այս ամբողջ գումարը: Ո՞ւր է այն գնում։ Ես երբեք չեմ տեսել որևէ հաշվետվություն այս մասին»,- բողոքել է Թրամփը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ Եվրոպան զգալիորեն ավելի քիչ է ծախսել Ուկրաինային օգնելու վրա, թեև աշխարհագրորեն ավելի մոտ է։

«Եվրոպան շատ ավելի փոքր տոկոս է ներդրել՝ մոտ 100 միլիարդ դոլար: Թեև նրանց համար այս պատերազմն ավելի մեծ ազդեցություն ունի, քան մեզ համար. մեզ բաժանում է օվկիանոսը, իսկ նրանց՝ ոչ»:

Փետրվարի սկզբին Զելենսկին ասել էր, որ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից հաստատված մոտ 177 միլիարդ դոլարի ռազմական օգնությունից Ուկրաինան ստացել է մոտ 76 միլիարդ դոլար։ Իսկ նոյեմբերին ասել էր, որ Ուկրաինան չի ստացել ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից պաշտոնապես հատկացված զենքի նույնիսկ կեսը, և որ Եվրոպան Կիևին օգնել է ոչ պակաս, քան ԱՄՆ-ն։
