Մեր ազգային կոդը դարձել է դժբախտությունը, թշվառությունը, հուսահատությունն ու մահը: Ինչո՞ւ է պետք անպայման մարդուն ընկալել միայն դժբախտության մեջ, սուտ զգացմունքով կարեկցել նրան, եթե կարելի է ուրախանալ նրա երջանկությամբ, իսկապես ու լիաթոք ուրախանալ նրա` սիրված լինելու հանգամանքից, նրա բարեկեցությամբ,կամ, թեկուզ անտարբեր թող լինեն, եթե չեն կարող «դիմանալ» ուրիշի երջանկությանը: Մի՞թե պարտադիր պիտի մահը պաշտենք: Լավ էս ինչքա՞ն մեր միջի մաղձով պիտի թունավորենք մեզ` սեփական երկրում ու սեփական ազգակցին, կամ թեկուզ օտարին: Դեռ որքա՞ն կյանքեր պիտի դրվեն զոհասեղանին, որ այս հասարակության «արյան» ծարավը հագենա, որքա՞ն անսեր ու խորտակված ճակատագրեր պիտի կործանեն, որ բավարարվեն:

Մի՞թե չի կարելի ուրախանալ, որ մարդը ծանրագույն կորստից հետո սեր է գտնում, մի՞թե չի կարելի ոգևորվել, որ այս դժվարին ժամանակներում մի աղջկա սիրտ էլ է թև առնում: Մի՞թե չի կարելի մի քիչ տարբեր մտածող մարդուն չսևացնել, այլ մի նոր բան սովորել նրանից ու զարգանալ: Թե՞ պետք է անպայման լինեն քրտնահոտ, վատ ապրող, թշվառ, անկարող ու հավերժ դժբախտ, որ մեր հասարակությունն ընկալի տվյալ անձին իբրև «իր զավակ»: Ինչո՞ւ է միայն օտար հողում ապրող հայը հաջողակ ընկալվում կամ սիրելի լինում, ինչու՞ է Հայաստանի քարերի մեջ ծաղկած ծաղիկն անպայման տրորվում, որ «նմանվի» բոլորին, չտարբերվի հանկարծ ու չլինի անուշաբույր: Մենք ազգովին պիտի փոխենք տեսլականը: Դժբախտության կոդը անեծք է: Անիծված հողը հաց չի տալիս:

Ոչ իմ սիրելի ընկեր Լևոն Արոնյանը, ոչ իր չքնաղագեղ սերը, իմ պաշտպանության կարիքը չունեն երջանիկ լինելու համար: Նրանք իրար են գտել, իսկ կյանքի իմաստն ու շարունակությունը հենց դա է, որ կա: Միայն շատ, շատ ցավալի է, որ մենք ուզում ենք տեսնել խավարով պատված մարդկանց, այլ ոչ թե սիրո լույսով ճառագողներին: Ցավալի է:

Ես ժպտում եմ իմ բոլոր ցավերի ու ապրածների միջով, ժպիտս եմ տարածում ու սեր տալիս, որովհետև մեզնում պակասավոր է դարձել հենց պարզ, մարդկային սերն ու ընկերական ժպիտը, իսկ դժբախտություններին սնել պետք չէ, նրանք արդեն ճիվաղների պես մեր շարքերում են ու քայքայում են` ներսից: Սիրո լույսերը վառեք: Բավ է»,- գրել է նա։
