Газета "Паст" пишет: "В начале апреля этого года стало известно, что со стороны авторитетных лиц  бывший государственный министр Республики Арцах, бизнесмен,филантроп Рубен Варданян за свою благотворительную и гуманитарную деятельность представлен на Нобелевскую премию мира 2024 года.
Также, отмечается, что упоминалась и деятельность Рубена Варданяна в блокадном Арцахе, где он пытался облегчить острые гуманитарные нужды, а также создавал возможности для улучшения условий жизни людей и детей, оказавшихся в трудной ситуации.Эта информация, как представляется, не дает покоя Азербайджану, который уже долгое время незаконно удерживает в плену Рубена Варданяна и других представителей военно-политического руководства Арцаха.
Соответственно, азербайджанцы пытаются дискредитировать Варданяна в глазах мира, в частности, представить его "российским агентом".
Это осуществляется через различные информационные площадки, в надежде, что такое "обвинение" найдет отклик на Западе, и Варданян не получит Нобелевскую премию.
В то же время Азербайджан пытается повлиять на членов Европарламента, представивших гарантии Нобелевскому комитету, призывая их исключить имя Варданяна из списка кандидатов.
Однако, по нашей информации, два депутата отказались даже обсуждать такие призывы".
