Արևային էներգետիկան դարձել է համաշխարհային էներգետիկայի խոշորագույն ոլորտն ամենամյա ներդրվող հզորությունների և ներգրավվող ներդրումների ծավալներով։

Միևնույն ժամանակ գրեթե բոլոր սարքավորումները, որոնք օգտագործում էին այդ ոլորտում, արտադրվում է Չինաստանում։ Բազմաթիվ երկրներ այս հանգամանքից դժգոհ են։

Խոսելով էներգամատակարարման օտարերկրյա աղբյուրներից կախվածության ռիսկերի մասին՝ Հնդկաստանը, ԱՄՆ-ն, Եվրամիությունը տարբեր չափերով փորձում են սեփական արևային արդյունաբերությունը ստեղծել։ Ամենից շատ այս առումով հաջողել է Հնդկաստանը, Միացյալ Նահանգները ևս բազմաթիվ նախագծեր են ձեռնարկել, որոնց մի մասը դեռ իրագործման փուլում է։

Եվրամիությունը, չնայած ահռելի ֆինանսական ներդրումներին, առայժմ չի կարողանում սեփական արտադրական հզորությունները ստեղծել և շոշափելի հաջողությունների հասնել այդ ուղղությամբ՝ մնալով Չինաստանից կախվածության մեջ։

Վերականգնվող էներգիայի աղբյուրների ավստրալիական գործակալությունը գնահատել է իր երկրի պոտենցիալը և որոշել մնալ թրենդի մեջ։ Գործակալությունը նախագիծ է ներկայացրել իշխանություններին Ավստրալիայում արևային սարքավորումների, վահանակների և մարտկոցների մի քանի գործարաններ կառուցելու ուղղությամբ, ընդ որում, ունենալով հսկայական մեծ տարածք և փոքր բնակչություն Ավստրալիան զգալի հնարավորություններ ունի բոլորից առաջ անցնել արևային էներգիայի զարգացման առումով։ Ամբողջ սարքավորումներն այսօր ներկրվում են Չինաստանից, սակայն այդ երկրիրն ունի բավարար միջոցներ սեփական արտադրությունը հիմնելու, ընդ որում, որպեսզի ծախսերը նվազեցնեն, ավստրալիացիները չեն բացառում Արևելյան Ասիայի մի շարք երկրներից մասնագետների և բանվորների ներգավումը, նրանց համար առաձնացված տարածքների ազատ տնտեսական գոտիների ստեղծումը, որպեսզի կարողանան զարգացնել արևային էներգետիկան։

Հայաստանում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող մեկ ընկերություն կա՝ «Սոլարոնը»։
