«Վագներ» մասնավոր ռազմական կազմակերպության հիմնադիր, գործարար Եվգենի Պրիգոժինի սպանությունը կազմակերպել է ՌԴ Անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղար Նիկոլայ Պատրուշևը, պնդում է ամերիկյան The Wall Street Journal թերթը՝ հղում անելով արևմտյան հետախուզական ծառայությունների անանուն աղբյուրներին։

Պատրուշևը, ինչպես գրում է հրատարակությունը, դեռ 2022 թվականի ամռանն է սկսել ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին զգուշացնել Պրիգոժինի ազդեցության աճի սպառնալիքի մասին։ Սակայն նախագահը չի լսել նրան, քանի որ «Վագներ»-ի վարձկանները, ինչպես կարծում էին Կրեմլում, հաջողության էին հասնում Ուկրաինայում մարտի դաշտում։ Ըստ հրատարակության զրուցակցի՝ ռուսական հետախուզության նախկին աշխատակցի՝ իրավիճակը փոխվել է 2022 թվականի հոկտեմբերին։

Այն ժամանակ Պրիգոժինը, իբր, զանգահարել է Պուտինին և կոպիտ կերպով բողոքել զինամթերքի պակասից, ինչը հանգեցրել է վարձկանների շրջանում մեծ կորուստների։ Պատրուշևն այդ պահին եղել է Պուտինի աշխատասենյակում, պնդում է WSJ-ի աղբյուրը։ Պուտինն անտեսել է Պրիգոժինի հետագա բողոքները «Վագներ»-ին մատակարարումների վերաբերյալ, այդ թվում՝ Ռուսաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարության հետ հանրային կոնֆլիկտների մասին, գրում է հրատարակությունը։

2023 թվականի հունիսին, երբ Պրիգոժինը սկսել է իր ապստամբությունը, Պատրուշևը դա տեսել է որպես «Վագներ»-ի ղեկավարից վերջնականապես ազատվելու հնարավորություն, ասվում է հոդվածում։

Հրատարակությունը պնդում է, որ այն բանից հետո, երբ Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոյի միջնորդությամբ հնարավոր է եղել պայմանավորվել Բելառուսի տարածք վարձկանների տեղափոխման մասին, իսկ ՌԴ նախագահը խոստացել է դադարեցնել ապստամբների հետապնդումները, Պատրուշևը սկսել է մշակել Պրիգոժինին սպանելու ծրագիր։

Ըստ հրատարակության աղբյուրների՝ Պուտինին ավելի ուշ ցույց են տվել այդ պլանները, և նա չի առարկել։ Ըստ WSJ-ի արևմտյան հետախուզական ծառայությունների զրուցակիցների՝ օգոստոսի 23-ին «Շերեմետևո» օդանավակայանում փոքր ռումբ է տեղադրվել մասնավոր Embraer-135 ինքնաթիռի թևի տակ, որն օգտագործել է «Վագներ»-ի հիմնադիրը:
