Դեկտեմբերի 11-12-ին Ֆրանսիայի «Արևելյան լեզուների և քաղաքակրթությունների ազգային ինստիտուտում» (INALCO) տեղի ունեցավ «Շուշին՝ Կովկասի մարգարիտ» խորագրով երկօրյա գիտաժողովը, որը կազմակերպվել էր «Արևելյան լեզուների և քաղաքակրթությունների ազգային ինստիտուտ» (INALCO) հիմնադրամի և «Հիշատակարան» նախագծի նախաձեռնությամբ:

Գիտաժողովի բացմանը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Քարոզչական կենտրոնի տնօրեն Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Գարեգին վարդապետ Համբարձումյանը ներկաներին փոխանցեց Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի օրհնությունն ու գնահատանքը։

Այնուհետև ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես եկավ Ֆրանսիայի Սենատի փոխնախագահ Պիեր Ուզուլիասը։

Գիտաժողովին ներկա էին Ֆրանսիայի հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Գրիգոր վարդապետ Խաչատրյանը,  Ֆրանսիայում ՀՀ դեսպան տիկին Հասմիկ Տոլմաջյանը, Ֆրանսիայի մշակութային ժառանգության ազգային ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Շարլ Պերսոնազը, հայ և օտարերկրացի գիտնականներ, քաղաքական, հասարակական և մշակութային գործիչներ:

Գիտաժողովի ընթացքում ներկայացվեցին զեկույցներ՝ նվիրված Շուշիի և առհասարակ Արցախի հոգևոր-մշակութային ժառանգության պահպանության խնդիրներին և ուղենշվեցին այդ ուղղությամբ հայ ու ֆրանսիացի գործիչների համագործակցության ճանապարհները։

Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Գարեգին վարդապետ Համբարձումյանը բանախոսեց «Շուշին որպես կրթական և հոգևոր կենտրոն Արցախի թեմում և Սուրբ Էջմիածնի առաքելությունը Արցախի մշակութային  ժառանգության պահպանման գործում» թեմայով, ինչպես նաև ներկայացրեց Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայոց սրբավայրերի թիրախավորման և պատմամշակութային արժեքների ոչնչացման փաստագրված ապացույցներ ու միջազգային հանրության կողմից ձեռնարկվելիք քայլերի առաջարկներ։
