Հայաստանի ատոմակայանը հետևում է Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության (ՄԱԳԱՏԷ) առաջարկներին և ուղեցույցներին՝ սերտորեն համագործակցելով Գործակալության  հետ։ Գործակալությունում վստահ են, որ Հայաստանն ատոմակայանի անվտանգության առումով լուրջ աշխատանք է իրականացնում։ «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասաց Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության գլխավոր տնօրեն Ռաֆայել Գրոսին։

«Հայաստանի ատոմակայանը հետևում է Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության առաջարկներին և ցուցումներին։ Սա շատ կարևոր է։ Ատոմակայանում տեղի են ունեցել վերանորոգման կարևոր աշխատանքներ, որոնք անհրաժեշտ էին։ Այսպիսով՝ մենք կարող ենք շարունակել գործել։ Ատոմակայանի գործունեության ժամկետի երկարաձգում պետք է լինի մի քանի տարով, և մենք բավարարված ենք նրանով, թե ինչպես են այդ աշխատանքները իրականացվել»,- ասաց Գրոսին։  

Անդրադառնալով վերջերս Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալությանն ուղղված թուրքական կողմի նամակին, որով պահանջվում էր քայլեր ձեռնարկել Հայաստանի ատոմակայանը փակելու ուղղությամբ՝ Գրոսին նշեց, որ իրենք լսում են բոլորին և տալիս են համապատասխան բացատրություններ։ «Մենք լսում ենք բոլորին։ Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալությունը գլոբալ կազմակերպություն է։ Այսպիսով, մենք յուրաքանչյուրին լսում ենք։ Ինչ վերաբերում է այդպիսի մտահոգություններին, մենք բացատրում ենք, թե ինչ ենք անում, մենք հավաստիացումներ ենք տալիս, որ ամեն ինչ ճիշտ է արվում։ Ես կարող եմ ասել, որ սա միակ դեպքը չէ։ Աշխարհի այլ հատվածներում էլ, որտեղ հարևան երկրները միմյանց հետ որոշակի խնդիրներ ունեն, մոտենում են ինձ և հարցնում՝ ի՞նչ է կատարվում մեր հարևան երկրում։ Մենք դրանց լուրջ ենք վերաբերվում, բայց մենք պատասխանները տալիս ենք։ Հաջորդ կարևոր հանգամանքն այն է, որ Հայաստանը շարունակում է լրջորեն աշխատել մեզ հետ և ամրապնդում է ատոմակայանի անվտանգությունը, և մենք վստահ ենք այս հարցում»,- ընդգծեց նա։

Հարցին, թե Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալությունը պլանավորում է Հայաստանի ատոմակայանը փակելու ուղղությամբ քայլեր ձեռնարկել, Գրոսին պատասխանեց․ «Ոչ, բացարձակապես ոչ։ Եթե ատոմակայանի հետ կապված հարց լինի, մենք այն անմիջապես կհասցեագրենք կառավարությանը և առաջինը կասենք, որ խնդիր կա ու որոշ գործողություններ անելու անհրաժեշտություն կա։ Բայց այս պահին, ինչպես արդեն ասացի, մենք վստահ ենք, որ գործողությունները կարող են շարունակվել»,- եզրափակեց Ատոմային էներգիայի միջազգային գործակալության գլխավոր տնօրենը։
