Հայ Եկեղեցու պատմությունն այն նվազագույնն է, ինչ անհրաժեշտ է հոգևոր և ազգային ինքնության արժեքները սերունդների գիտակցությունում հնարավորինս անաղարտ պահելու համար։ Այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է Արդարադատության նախկին նախարար Գեւորգ Դանիելյանը:

«Հայ Եկեղեցու նկատմամբ սովետական հետապնդումների և հաշվեհարդարի վախճանն ավետող հզոր արձագանքին համահունչ նորանկախ Հայաստանում առաջին իսկ օրերին (1991 թ. հունիսի 17-ին) ընդունվեց «Խղճի ազատության և կրոնական կազմակերպությունների մասին» օրենքը, որով Հայ Եկեղեցին ճանաչվեց՝ ԱԶԳԱՅԻՆ։ Հետագայում այդ կարգավիճակը ձեռք բերեց սահմանադրական արժեք։
«Հայ Եկեղեցու պատմությունը», ՈՐՊԵՍ ԻՆՔՆՈՒՐՈՒՅՆ ԱՌԱՐԿԱ, նախատեսված է «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու հարաբերությունների մասին» օրենքով (8-րդ հոդված)։ Այս դրույթի առնչությամբ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովը առնվազն երկու անգամ մեծածավալ եզրակացություն է տվել (2009 թ. հուլիսի 12-13֊ին և 2017 թ. հոկտեմբերի 16-ին) և երկուսում էլ այն խոցելի չի որակել, իսկ ՄԻԵԴ֊ը եկեղեցու պատմության դասավանդումն անգամ դիտարկել է կրթությամբ իրազեկվածությունը բարելավելու եղանակով մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության միջոց (այս դիրքորոշման վրա հղումն առկա է հենց Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի եզրակացություններում)։ Հայ Եկեղեցու պատմությունն այն նվազագույնն է, ինչ անհրաժեշտ է հոգևոր և ազգային ինքնության արժեքները սերունդների գիտակցությունում հնարավորինս անաղարտ պահելու համար։ Ուզում եմ հավատալ, որ Ազգային ժողովը չի գնա վերը նշված օրենքը վերանայելու ճանապարհով։
