«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Թեեւ սեպտեմբերի 17-ի՝ Երեւանի ավագանու ընտրություններում կրած պարտությունից հետո ՔՊ-ականները մի կերպ կարողացան քաղաքապետի պաշտոնը օկուպացնել, այնուամենայնիվ, պարտությունը մնացել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի եւ ՔՊ-ականների կոկորդին: Իշխանության ներսում քննարկում ու վերլուծում են պարտության պատճառները, նոր մեղավորներ փնտրում:

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրել էր, որ այդ օրը երեկոյան՝ ընտրությունների արդյունքների ամփոփումից հետո, ՔՊ շտաբում թեժ է անցել: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն իր տիկնոջ՝ Աննա Հակոբյանի հետ եկել էր շտաբ, ՔՊ-ականներից հաշիվ են պահանջել, թե ինչու այդքան ջանքերից հետո տապալեցին ընտրությունները ու պարտություն կրեցին: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը գոռգոռացել, կռիվ է արել ՔՊ-ականների հետ, բանն անգամ հասել է այնտեղ, որ Փաշինյանը շիշ է նետել թիմակիցների ուղղությամբ:

Աննա Հակոբյանն էլ իր հերթին է փորձել բացատրություններ պահանջել ՔՊ-ականներից: Պարտության մեղավոր ճանաչվել է մե՛կ գործող քաղաքապետը, մե՛կ իշխանականները փորձել են պարտության մեղքը բարդել շտաբի պետ Արմեն Փամբուխչյանի վրա: Նրան թույլատրվել էր անգամ քրեական տարրերի հետ հանդիպել, նրանց ծառայություններից օգտվել, բայց էլի չստացվեց:

Այսպիսով, թեեւ պարտությունից շուրջ 1 ամիս է անցել, բայց ՔՊ-ականները դեռ չեն հարմարվել դրա հետ, մինչ օրս դեռ քննարկում, վերլուծում են պատճառները: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն անգամ հրապարակավ է խոստովանել, որ արդյունքները իրենց համար մտահոգիչ էին»:
