Portnews.ru-ն գրում է, որ SeaVolt ընկերությունը (Tractebel-ի, DEME-ի և Jan De Nul-ի համատեղ ձեռնարկությունը) պատրաստվում է գործարկել իր առաջին լողացող արևային վահանակներով պլատֆորմը բաց ծովում եղանակային վատ եղանակի փորձարկման համար: Այդ մասին հայտնել է ծրագրի անդամ Յան Դե Նուլը մամուլի հաղորդագրության մեջ:

Բելգիական Հյուսիսային ծովի ափին գտնվող Օստենդ նավահանգստում այժմ արևային մարտկոցներ են տեղադրվում։ Պլատֆորմն իր տեսակի մեջ առաջինն է լինելու Բելգիայի տարածքային ջրերում՝ Հյուսիսային ծովում, որն արևային էներգիա կարտադրի արևային մարտկոցներով:

Հավաքման ավարտից հետո հարթակը կքաշվի դեպի ծով և կխարսխվի: Նրա գործունեության ընթացքում՝ սկսած օգոստոսից, կհավաքագրվեն տարատեսակ տվյալներ առնվազն մեկ տարվա ընթացքում։

Մինչ այդ լճերի վրա արդեն փորձարկվել են արևային մարտկոցներով լողացող հարթակները։ SeaVolt-ը մշակել է բաց ծովում անբարենպաստ եղանակային պայմաններում նման մեծ լողացող հարթակների օգտագործման հայեցակարգը: Այդ լողացող համակարգի մոդուլային կառուցվածքը հարմար է տեղադրման համար որպես ծովային հողմակայանների հավելում, նշել են ընկերությունում:

SeaVolt-ն որոշել է օգտագործել թեթև ածխածնային մանրաթելային նյութ իր մոդուլային փորձարկման սարքավորման համար, որն ունի որոշ առավելություններ, բայց որը դեռևս սովորաբար չի օգտագործվում ալեկոծվող ծովերում:
