Արցախի նախկին պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է․

«Բաքու-Ստեփակերտ բանակցությունները չեն կարող ընթանալ այնպիսի պայմաններում, երբ բանակցային օրակարգն արդեն կանխորոշված է ու սահմանված՝ կողմերից մեկի ցանկությունների հիման վրա, ավելին՝ դա էլ փաստացի հաստատված է Հայաստանի իշխանությունների կողմից: Եվ սա այն դեպքում, որ ոչ մի խոսք չի գնում բանակցությունների համար միջազգային մեխանիզմ ապահովելու կարևորության և անհրաժեշտության մասին:

Մինչդեռ Բաքու-Ստեփանակերտ բանակցությունները պետք է ընթանան երրորդ կողմի մասնակցությամբ: Հայաստանի ղեկավարությունը պետք է փոխի իր դիրքորոշումը և վերադառնա իր պարտավորությունների կատարմանը, որոնք ամրագրված են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Սահմանադրությամբ: Եվ հենց մենք պետք է ստիպենք նրանց փոխել իրենց մոտեցումն այս հարցում:

Բանակցությունների գնալուց առաջ պետք է ունենալ հստակ արտահայտված դիրքորոշում, օրակարգ, պատրաստված բանակցող թիմ, որ մյուս կողմը հասկանա, որ դու բանակցությունների կողմերից մեկն ես:

Անհնար է խոսել բանակցությունների մասին այնպիսի պայմաններում, երբ կողմերից մեկը շարունակ ատրճանակ է պահում գլխիդ, իսկ դու շարունակում ես պնդել՝ «Եկեք բանակցենք։ Այդ դեպքում դու պետք է ասես՝ «Մի կողմ դիր ատրճանակդ, այդ ժամանակ էլ կխոսենք»:

Մեզ միասնական կամք է պետք: Եթե լինի կամք, կգտնվեն նաև ռեսուրսներ, կոմպետենտ մարդիկ, մեր կողքին կկանգնեն մեծաթիվ դաշնակիցներ, աջակիցներ և մեր ընկերները ողջ աշխարհից:

Նայելով մեր հազարամյա պատմությանը՝ կարելի է զարմանալ, թե ինչու ենք մենք այսքան պարզունակ՝ կամ Արևմուտք, կամ Արևելք, կամ Ռուսաստան: Մինչդեռ պետք է աշխատել բոլոր կողմերի հետ, և այդ համագործակցությունն ու դաշնակցային հարաբերություններն առավելագույնս ծառայեցնել սեփական պետության շահերին:
