Energyland.info-ն գրում է, որ Ֆրանսիական TotalEnergies, ճապոնական Marubeni և QatarEnergy of Qatar կոնսորցիումը գործարկել է Կատարի ամենամեծ Ալ Խարսաահ արևային էլեկտրակայանը 800 ՄՎտ հզորությամբ, որը կառուցվել է Դոհայից 80 կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա։


Մերձավոր Արևելքի ամենամեծ արևային էլեկտրակայաններից մեկը՝ Ալ Խարսաահը, բացվել է Նորին Մեծություն Շեյխ Թամիմ բեն Համադ Ալ Թանիի կողմից։ Արարողությունը նշանավորել է շինարարական աշխատանքների ավարտը և արևային էլեկտրակայանի գործարկումը, որն այժմ միացված է ազգային ցանցին:


 Մայրաքաղաքից 80 կմ դեպի արևմուտք գտնվող Ալ Խարսաահը Կատարի առաջին լայնածավալ ֆոտովոլտային էլեկտրակայանն է 800 ՄՎտ դրվածքային հզորությամբ։ Կայանը կառուցված է 1000 հեկտար տարածքի վրա, որը համարժեք է մոտ 1400 ֆուտբոլի խաղադաշտի և ներառում է 2 միլիոն բարձր արդյունավետությամբ երկկողմանի մոդուլներ, որոնք տեղադրված են միակողմանի թրեքերի վրա։ Առջևի և հետևի մասում դրանք համալրված ֆոտոգալվանային բջիջներով, այդ վահանակները մի կողմից գրավում են արևի ուղիղ ճառագայթները, իսկ մյուս կողմից՝ գետնից արտացոլումները, և դրանով իսկ օպտիմալացնում են էներգիայի արտադրությունը:
 Ալ Խարսաան կարող է ապահովել երկրի էներգիայի առավելագույն պահանջարկի 10%-ը և կանխել 26 միլիոն տոննա CO2-ի արտանետումները իր ողջ գործունեության ընթացքում:


 «Հետևելով մեր վերջին ներգրավվածությանը NFE և NFS հսկա LNG նախագծերին, QatarEnergy-ի հետ միասին, մենք հպարտ ենք այսօր հայտարարել Ալ-Խարսաայում արևային էլեկտրակայանի գործարկման մասին: Այս մեծ նախագիծը, որը նպաստել է Կատարի կայուն զարգացման ճանապարհային քարտեզին, հետագայում ցույց է տալու TotalEnergies-ի կարողությունը աջակցելու երկրներին էներգիայի անցումային փուլում՝ համատեղելով բնական գազի արդյունահանումը և արևային էներգիան՝ բավարարելու էլեկտրաէներգիայի աճող պահանջարկը», - ասել է նախագահ և գործադիր տնօրեն Պատրիկ Պույանը,- սա ևս մեկ հանգրվան է QatarEnergy-ի հետ մեր երկար և վստահելի հարաբերություններում, և որը մոտեցնում է մեզ մինչև 2025 թվականը 35 ԳՎտ արտադրական հզորության հասնելու մեր նպատակին»:
