Հունիսի 27-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության նորանշանակ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Նորա Արիսյանին:

Մայր Աթոռից հայտնում են, որ Նորին Սրբությունը, իր օրհնությունն ու շնորհավորանքը բերելով տիկին դեսպանին նշանակման առիթով, մաղթեց արդյունավետ առաքելություն ի նպաստ երկու ժողովուրդների դարավոր բարեկամական հարաբերությունների և գործակցության շարունակական ամրապնդման: Վեհափառ Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ անդրադարձավ հայ-սիրիական պատմական կապերին` ընդգծելով Սիրիայի հայ համայնքի կարևոր դերակատարությունը դրանց զորացման գործում:

Հանդիպմանն Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն անդրադարձ կատարեց Սիրիայում ահաբեկչական գործողությունների, իսկ Արցախում 44-օրյա պատերազմի հետևանքով արձանագրված ցավալի կորուստներին ու պատճառված ավերածություններին՝ վստահություն հայտնելով, որ երկու բարեկամ ժողովուրդները լավատեսության ոգով ու զորեղ հավատքով կհաղթահարեն իրենց առջև ծառացած մարտահրավերները։

Նորին Սրբությունը նաև իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց Սիրիայի իշխանություններին հայ համայնքի նկատմամբ ցուցաբերվող հոգատար վերաբերմունքի համար։ 

Դեսպան Նորա Արիսյանն իր հերթին Հայոց Հովվապետին ներկայացրեց Սիրիայում հակամարտության հետևանքով հայ համայնքի առջև ծառացած դժվարությունները՝ հաստատելով, որ Սիրիայի իշխանություններն ամեն ջանք ի գործ են դնում հայ համայնքի կացությունը բարելավելու ուղղությամբ։ Տիկին դեսպանը Սիրիայի առկա մարտահրավերների հաղթահարման գործում կարևորեց նաև սիրիահայ համայնքի դերը, որը մշտապես մեծ հարգանք է վայելել երկրում:

Հանդիպման ավարտին Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը դեսպանին մաղթեց արդյունավոր գործունեություն ի զորացումն հայ-սիրիական հարաբերությունների:
