Ընկալելու և հաղորդակցվելու գործընթացը թվում է սովորական, քանզի այն շատերի համար առանց որևէ դժվարության է լինում, սակայն կան դեպքեր, երբ դա ամենօրյա համառ պայքարի է վերածվում և մասնագիտական մի ամբողջ խումբ է աշխատում սովորական թվացող գործընթացին հասնելու համար։ Շատ դեպքերում այս իրավիճակը սենսորային ազդակների սխալ ընկալման հետևանք է, այս պարագայում հարկ է ուշադրություն դարձնել լսողական խնդիրներին։ 
 
Մարդու ականջները կարևոր դեր ունեն մեր կյանքում, քանզի նրանք համարվում են մեր ուղեղ տանող հիմնական դռները։
 
Ականջներն ընդունում են շրջակա ձայները, ինչպես նաև մեր ձայները, դրանք վերածում են էլեկտրական ազդակների և փոխանցում ուղեղ՝ վերլուծության համար։
 
Ականջն ու ուղեղն ինտենսիվորեն համագործակցում են, իսկ եթե այս կապը խզվում է, ապա արտաքին աշխարհի հետ շփվելու մարդու կարողությունը տուժում է։
 
Լսողական թերապիայի օգնությամբ մենք հնարավորություն ենք ունենում վերականգնել ականջ-ուղեղ կապն ու հատուկ երաժշտության օգնությամբ երեխային դրդում ենք կատարել հրահանգված գործողություններ։
 
Մեթոդն արդյունավետ է ոչ միայն հաշմանդամություն ունեցող երեխաների համար, այլ բոլորի, ովքեր ունեն ուշադրության ու կենտրոնանալու պակաս։
 
Հատուկ շնորհակալություն Ջեյմս Հահնին արդյունավետ ուսուցման, գիտելիքի և ընձեռած հնարավորություն համար։
