Վերջին երեք տարիների ընթացքում ինչ-որ կատարվում է Հայաստանում՝ քաղաքական հետապնդումներ եւ քաղբանտարկյալներ, նման բան չի եղել անկախ Հայաստանի ողջ պատմության մեջ:  Այս մասին, այսօր՝ դեկտեմբերի 31-ին, դատախազության դիմաց բողոքի ակցիայի ժամանակ լրագրողների հետ զրուցյում հայտնեց Հայաստանի հելսինկյան կոմիտեի նախագահ Ավետիք Իշխանյանը:

«Հայաստանում միայն նախագահական ընտրությունների ժամանակ եղել է որոշակի լարվածություն, քաղբանտարկյալների առկայություն, որը շատ կարճ է տեւել, մեկ տարի կամ մի փոքր ավելի: Իսկ հիմա սա համատարած բռնություններ են եւ քրեական գործերի հարուցումներ, էլ չեմ խոսում կալանքի որպես խափանման միջոց կիրառելու մասին: Հիմնականում այդ բոլոր քրեական գործերի մեջ որեւէ հիմք չկա:

Վարչապետ կոչեցյալը կանչում է իր գրպանային մարմիններին՝ ԱԱԾ, ոստիկանություն, քննչական մարմիններ եւ ուղղակի նրանց վրա ղժժում է՝ այսինքի վրա քրեական գործ հարուցեք, եւ նրանք պետք է մի բան գտնեն, որ քրգործ հարուցեն: Նույնիսկ այս ոչ կատարյալ դատական համակարգի պայմաններում քանի գործ ջրվեց՝ Արսեն Բաբայանի գործը, Վանեցյանի գործը: Այդ քննիչ կոչեցյալները գործը հարուցում են, այստեղ դհոլ խփող դատախազը հաստատում է եւ մարդուն կալանում են»,-ասաց Ավետիք Իշխանյանը՝ հավելելով, որ պետք է ամեն մի քաղբանտարկյալին կալանելու դեպքում բողոք լիներ:
