Նյու Յորքում հայտնաբերել են ամերիկահայ նկարիչ Արշիլ Գորկու նոր կտավը. Արշիլ Գորկի հիմնադրամը նկարչի կտավներից մեկն ուղարկել է կոնսերվացման, սակայն երկու սպասարկողներ կտավի հետևում թաքնված մեկ այլ կտավ են հայտնաբերել: Նոր հայտնաբերված աշխատանքը հաջորդ ամիս կցուցադրվի Նյու Յորքի Hauser and Wirth ցուցասրահում:

Կտավը, որն անվանվել է «Անվերնագիր» (Վիրջինիայի ամառ), ավելացվում է Գորկու ընդհանուր հավաքածուին: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այդ մասին հայտնում է Artnet News-ը:

«Այս հայտնագործությունը այն պահն է, որը մեզանից շատերին տարավ առաջին հերթին դեպի արվեստ, սա հրաշք էր ու անակնկալ, սա մեր իմացածից այն կողմ մտածելու հրավեր է, նոր հորիզոնների ակնարկ», - ասել է Hauser & Wirth-ի նախագահ Մարկ Պայոտը, ով, հաջորդ ամիս Նյու Յորքում չվաճառվող ցուցադրությանը կներկայացնի  աշխատանքը։

Ենթադրվում է, կտավը թղթի վրա ՝ «Սահմանը» (1947) ավարտելուց հետո նկարիչը եղել է աշխատանքային բեղուն շրջանում՝ ամեն օր նոր գործ անելով։ Արդյունքում, նոր նկարչական կտավ չունենալու պատճառով, կտավը, որն այժմ նույնականացվում է որպես Անվերնագիր (Վիրջինիայի ամառ), նա պարզապես նկարել է նախկին աշխատանքի հետևում։

Միանգամայն հնարավոր է, որ սա այդպիսի միակ կտավը չէ: «Վատ գաղափար չէ կտավները հանել նկուղից, պատից, և ուսումնասիրել,  միգուցե, մեկ կտավի վրա ևս մեկն է թաքնված»,- New York Times-ի հետ զրույցում նշել է նկարչի փեսան և «Բարձունքից. Արշիլ Գորկու կյանքը» գրքի հեղինակ Մեթյու Սփենդերը:
