Scientists find out why women under 50 develop bowel cancer
SocityAmerican scientists from the University of Washington in St. Louis have found out why women under 50 develop bowel cancer.
Studies have shown that women who drank more than half a liter of sugary drinks per day were twice as likely to be diagnosed with cancer as those who drank less of these drinks.
That is why scientists recommend that women refrain from consuming such drinks.
Other scientists, however, note that more research is needed to confirm the link between sugary drinks and bowel cancer. So, professor of applied statistics Kevin McConway explained that the study is based on only six cases of cancer found in this group, so, in his opinion, this is not enough for further conclusions.
