Նեպալի կառավարությունը մոլորակի ամենաբարձր լեռնագագաթ Էվերեստը բացել է լեռնագնացների բարձրանալու համար՝ կորոնավիրուսի պատճառով այդպիսի արշավների համար մեկ տարի գործած արգելքից հետո, հայտնում է Reuters-ը:

Էվերեստ վերելքը թույլատրված է հաջորդ ամսից՝ COVID-19-ի տարածումը կանխելու միջոցառումները խստորեն պահպանելու պարագայում, որոնք ներառում են Նեպալ ժամանելուն պես պարտադիր մեկշաբաթյա կարանտին օտարերկրյա լեռնագնացների համար եւ նրանց մոտ կորոնավիրուսի ախտորոշման թեստի բացասական արդյունքի մասին վկայագիր:

Նեպալի տուրիզմի նախարարության գնահատականներով՝ ապրիլին սկսվող եւ մինչեւ մայիսի վերջ շարունակվող լեռնագնացային սեզոնի ընթացքում Էվերեստ բարձրանալու հայտեր կներկայացնեն մոտ 300 օտարերկրյա լեռնագնացներ: Մինչեւ աշխարհի ամենաբարձր լեռնագագաթ բարձրանալու սեզոնը կարանտինի համար փակելը, 2019 թվականին վերջինը Էվերեստ է փորձել բարձրանալ 381 մարդ:

Բացառված չէ, որ այս տարի Չինաստանում պահպանվող Էվերեստի չինական լանջով բարձրանալու երկրի իշխանությունների արգելքի պատճառով մոլորակի ամենաբարձր լեռնագագաթ բարձրանալ ցանկացողների թիվը Նեպալում շատ ավելի մեծ կլինի:

Նեպալի կառավարությունը Էվերեստ վերելքն արգելել էր մեկ տարի առաջ երկրում նոր տեսակի կորոնավիրուսի տարածումը կանխելու միջոցառումների շրջանակում: Համավարակի ընթացքում Նեպալում վարակվածների թիվը հասել է 274 973-ի: COVID-19-ի առաջացրած հիվանդությունների հետեւանքով երկրում մահացել է 3 012 բնակիչ:
