Ամերիկյան սթրիմինգային Netflix ծառայությունը հրապարակել է հաշվետվություն, որի համաձայն 2020թ․ առաջին եռամսյակում ինքը աշխատել է ավելի քան 700 մլն դոլար եւ կտրուկ մեծացրել է բաժանորդների բազան կորոնավիրուսի համավարակի ֆոնին, հայտնում է BBC-ն։

Բաժանորդների թիվը տարվա սկզբից մեծացել է 15,8 միլիոնով՝ համեմատած 2019թ․ առաջին եռամսյակի 9,6 միլիոնի հետ, հայտնել են ընկերությունում։ Այս թիվը, պարզվել է, երկու անգամ ավելի մեծ է Netflix-ի սեփական կանխատեսումից (7 մլն)։ Նոր բաժանորդների մեծ մասը ապրում է Եվրոպայում, Աֆրիկմայում եւ Մերձավոր Արեւելքի երկրներում։

Netflix-ի մաքուր շահույթը, համեմատած անցյալ տարվա հետ, նույնպես աճել է երկու անգամ՝ 344 միլիոնից մինչեւ 709 միլիոն։ Ընկերության եկամուտը առաջին եռամսյակում կազմել է 5,77 մլրդ դոլար՝ համեմատած անցյալ տարվա առաջին եռամսյակի 4,52 մլրդ դոլարի հետ։

«Netflix-ը մնում է այն մեդիաընկերությունը, որի վրա Covid-19-ը ավելի քիչ է ազդել, քան մյուսների վրա։ Նրա բիզնես-մոդելը համարյա իդեալական համապատասխանում է այն իրավիճակին, երբ մարդիկ ամբողջ աշխարհում տանը նստած են»,- ասոււմ է eMarketer գործակալության վերլուծաբան Էրիկ Հագսթրեմը։

Ծառայության պահանջարկն այնքան բարձր է, որ մարտին Netflix-ը ստիպված էր իջեցնել վիդեոյի որակը Եվրոպայում, որպեսզի չծանրաբեռնի ինտերնետ-ենթակառուցվածքը։ Նոր հանդիսատեսների կտրուկ ներհոսքի պատճառով ընկերությունը ստիպված է եղել 2000 նոր աշխատակից ընդունել հաճախորդների աջակցման բաժնում։

Ընկերության ակցիաները այդ ընթացքում աճում են։ Երեքշաբթի երեկոյան Netflix-ի կապիտալիզացիան հասել է 190 մլրդ դոլարի։
